401(K) RETIREMENT PLAN Merge provides a 401(k) plan where Merge matches employee contributions at $.50 on the dollar, up to a maximum of 5% of the employee’s annual salary. Vesting is pro-rated for years 2-6, with the employee becoming fully vested after 6 years of continuous employment. Employees have access to a secure web site where they may monitor their account balances and make changes to payroll deductions, direct how contributions are applied and manage their investment accounts.
HEALTH AND DENTAL INSURANCE Merge provides its employees with a choice of health insurance coverage plans. Merge pays 50% of the employee’s premium. Employees may opt to add additional coverage for spouses and families, but pay the additional premiums for this coverage. The employee’s portion of health insurance premiums are paid via pre-tax payroll deductions twice a month. Merge also offers dental care insurance. We pay 100% of the premium for the employee. Employees may opt to purchase coverage for spouses and family members, via payroll deduction.
FLEXIBLE SPENDING ACCOUNT (FSA) PLANS FOR DEPENDENT CARE AND HEALTH CARE REIMBURSEMENT Contributions are made to this plan via pre-tax payroll deductions. The benefit of this plan is derived from paying expenses with “pre-tax” dollars (pay that has not yet been subjected to federal withholding and FICA deductions) instead of "after tax” dollars. Dependent Care Reimbursement Plan: The Dependent Care Reimbursement Plan is used to pay day-care expenses for legal dependents of the employee. Health Care Reimbursement Plan: The Health Care Reimbursement Plan enables employees to pay expenses not covered by health and/or dental insurance.
TRAINING & EDUCATION On a limited basis, there are opportunities for reimbursement of classes and seminars as agreed upon between you and your Merge Account Manager. Merge also has an extensive technical library where books may be checked out by employees to use at client sites.
