Description of Position
Client is in the process of creating a software test organization responsible for providing testing automation services throughout the organization. The Automation Engineer will be responsible for setting up the automation capabilities across the organization and providing automation capabilities to individual workstreams/events/projects.
Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:
* Create Automation Framework.
* Set Automation Standards and Guidelines.
* Create Automation scripts.
* Provide Automation documentation.
* Maintain Automation.
* Train Testers on performing execution of automation.
Required Skills
* 10+ years experience with QTP.
* 5+ years experience gathering requirements for automation.
* Proven experience providing automation capabilities for vendor delivered solutions.
* Skilled in HP Quality Center test management software.
* Experience translating QC test cases into QTP scripts.
* Solid knowledge of current Testing/QA methodologies, best practices, and toolsets.
* Ability to analyze information and break down complex problems.
* Ability to perform independent research, utilizing team member input as necessary.
Non-Technical Skills
* Energetic self-starter, with desire to work in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
* Ability to confirm objectives and drive them according to plan with a minimum oversight.
* Ability to multi-task and adjust priorities when situation requires.
* Impeccable verbal and written communication.
