Description of Position
The Systems Administrator has primary ongoing responsibility of managing business systems and development tools through appropriate use of technical expertise, teamwork, and change controls.
Responsibilities to include but are not limited to:
* Responsible for software installation and upgrade management. Will load MS CRM (Customer Relationship Manager) software, MS Team Foundation Server (TFS) and COTS from outside vendors. The COTS are typically Java applications.
* Responsible for oversight of software and hardware, including monitoring, troubleshooting and problem resolution.
* Monitor system logs and activity on all servers and interconnected devices.
* Maintain knowledge of system architectures.
* Maintain user security.
* Coordinate downtime, and apply systems patches for security and stability in a prompt timeframe.
* Create and maintain documentation necessary for the support of corporate systems as requested by Manager.
* Work closely with Networking, Security, Development, and other teams to troubleshoot and deploy any solutions to system related issues.
* Ensure systems management follows proper change control, security and general policies and processes.
Required Skills
* 5-7 years of Systems Administration or relevant general Information Technology experience required.
* Must have solid work experience building a Java environment on a WINDOWS box.
* Must be experienced in deploying Java EAR and WAR files.
* Familiar with Project Management methodology and SDLC.
* Advanced knowledge in the following three areas:
~ MS CRM 4.0
~ WebSphere 6.x, 7.x (High availability clustering)
~ Team Foundation Server (TFS)
Desired Skills
Experience with any or all of the following technologies are a definite plus:
* Windows Server products (2000, 2003, 2007) including Windows Active Directory and supporting services TCP/IP, DNS, etc.
* VMWare Virtual Center Environment.
* Citrix Presentation Server/Products.
* Exchange Server Environments.
* SQL Server/Oracle Database services.
* Storage Solutions using Fiber Channel, iSCSI, etc.
* Quality Center\Quick Test Pro.

* Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
* Ability to communicate technical information in a business friendly manner.
Education:
College degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related work experience.
