Description of Position
Client is seeking a Testing Lead for a data warehouse project whose responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
* Full management responsibilities for the QA and Testing team.
* Evaluate and recommend test planning details, project roles and staffing and tool usage, within the boundaries established by the Program.
* Provide mentoring and training for appropriate individuals on the use of testing processes, templates and tools.
* Coordinate with Release Management and Quality Assurance teams.
* Participate in requirements management, including reviewing requirements for testability, managing requirements in the appropriate tool and overseeing the Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM).
* Configure test management tools as necessary for use by the project.
* Recommend improvements to tools and processes, continually improving where indicated, as part of the program test team.
* Manage defect tracking for the project and assist in defect management across the program, providing periodic updates to senior management as requested.
* Coordinate dependencies with other teams as related to the testing effort of project.
* Manage all test resources for project.
* Validate test scenarios, assist in development of test cases, assist in testing and defect identification.
* Coordinate and monitor User Acceptance Testing.
* Create testing deliverables as required.
* Stay current on existing best practices and on emerging technologies.
Required Skills
* 5 years of relevant general Information testing experience required.
* Highly skilled in the development and application of testing processes, including test strategy, planning, development and execution.
* Highly skilled in the support of HP Quality Center test management software.
* Knowledgeable of Project Management methodology and SDLC.
* Prior data warehousing experience.
* Experienced in the development and delivery of training modules to business and technical audiences.
Desired Skills

Education:
4 year College degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Business.
