Description of Position
Our client is seeking a .NET Developer to provide analysis, development and support for the client's enterprise applications. The position requires a close working relationship with project and application stakeholders to ensure technical and functional requirements are met. Candidate should be experienced and knowledgeable of the C# and VB.NET development platforms and their interaction with SQL Server in an object oriented software model. Responsibilities to include, but are not limited to: * Designs and develops windows services, web applications and data objects including the design and testing of disaster recovery capabilities. * Creates and executes functional and unit testing plans. * Builds effective monitoring and support mechanisms into applications that enable timely response to issues. * Adheres to and enhances the software release management process for enterprise applications. * Works closely with software and system architects to build an efficient software architecture model for the next generation of the client's applications. * Monitors application stability and provides timely support for the resolution of system issues. * Fosters a team development process to support multi-project software releases.

Required Skills
* Demonstrated software development and deployment of enterprise software applications. * High level of experience developing Microsoft Object Oriented programming including ASP, .NET and SQL Server applications. * Demonstrated proficiency in Workflow Processing, Data Modeling, Design, Implementation and Optimization. * Proficiency in Object Oriented Analysis and Design techniques. * Hands-on working knowledge of the following: ~ MS SQL Server. ~ VB.NET, C#, OOP, UML, SOAP. ~ Javascript, XML, AJAX.

Desired Skills
Experience in a financial institution or overall knowledge of financial institution products and services is a plus.

Non-Technical Skills
* Ability to function independently with minimum guidance and to display a proactive initiative in problem resolution. * Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering preferred or appropriate combination of education and significant experience.
